Julie Mellae has become iconic with all things to do with art in the beautiful southern suburb waterways of The Royal National Park just south of the Sydney CBD.
She is the Public Relations Executive for the Bundeena Maianbar Art Trail of which twenty local artists including Julie, open their studios to the greater public on the first Sunday of the month. These artists works include glass, drawing, painting, ceramics, pottery, sculpture and photography.
With a heavy weight background in advertising and Media, Julie has ensured the Bundeena Maianbar Art Trail is a continuing success story. Articles have been written in The Sydney Morning Herald, The Sunday Telegraph, the Brisbane Times, the Womens' Weekly, the Sun Herald and many more tabloids. Virgin Blue in-flight magazine features the Art Trail in their forthcoming September issue. Tourism Sydney, Tourism NSW and Tourism Australia are also keen supporters of the Art Trail. Julie has appeared in many of these articles as well as on the 'Getaway' television program on more than a couple of occassions. She is now recognised as the 'face' of the Art Trail and of Bundeena and Maianbar!
As a graphic artist, Julie still loves to put together a cool layout and has worked with clients such Vogue, Gourmet Traveler, Womens Weekly, Interiors and Cosmo. Other clients over time have included Mercedes Benz, Harley Davidson, Nutrimetics, Toys R Us, Omega Smeg, Berlei.
Julie was the first female graphic artist in Australia to design a 'Hudsons' hardware catalogue which amassed record sales as a result of a 'feminine touch'.
